They got cucked by dominos who actually listened to the customers and changed their product for the better. Pizza hut just kept cutting corners offering shittier and shittier stuff and most people rightly have left them behind. The last time i actually remember eating it was probably around 2007 and that was at a party and a bunch of drunk people decided to pitch in and get it. Dont remember it being good at all, even for drunk food.

i remember. revamped domino's tastes good going in, but is a nightmare going out.
in comparison to papa john's, their food would make me feel ill every time before they got their shit in order.
can't remember when their revamp campaigns occurred. all i remember is that it was the early 2000s, and after the pizza hut in my area burned down, my only options left were domino's and papa john's on the way back to my apartment from blockbuster's on saturdays. gave up on those places for several years until some buddies convinced me to try them again.

for it's basically been a case of they're not innovating their menu and their pizza just consistently is greasier than other pizzas for me. Also their coupon deals suck. They're consistently more expensive than Dominos and other specialty pizza places and you're not getting a major bump in quality.

Literally the only reason I've even ordered from them in the past 3 years is that there's one literally 2 blocks away from my complex and if I'm craving pizza in a big way, I'll relent and order a pie from them.

Otherwise, I've legit settled for frozen pizza or Papa Murphys over them consistently.

Anyone else remember when they did sort of a 'relaunch' like 5-10 years ago? They had new toppings, a bunch of new crust styles and flavors, and drizzles you could add on top. A few of them were pretty good like pretzel crust.
Then a few years after that they scrapped everything and just went back to their basic bullshit. What the fuck was the point of that?
More importantly, why the fuck won't any pizza chain offer pretzel crust permanently? Little Caesars brings it back like once every five years just to troll everyone.

It was the perfect spot during the 90s. If you were middle class, it was a great Friday night. If you were poor, it was a great annual treat. Nothing beat dining in at Pizza Hut. It was dimly lit, kind of chilly, wood paneling everywhere, red cups, stained glass lamps, hot pizza, and mom and dad weren’t fighting.

The biggest slap in the face to me is that they stopped doing the crust seasoning.
The hut favorite made pizza hut stand out from other chains, then in like November of last year they got rid of all the crust flavors, so now its boring and plain.
I know they didn't always have the variety of crusts but I'm pretty sure they always put fairy dust on the crust since the 70s or some shit as seen in this training video.

I actually have a fuckhueg container of the garlic butter crust seasoning that my regional manager was giving out for free to workers.
The crust flavor was very popular, but it was removed because the cut-table spent too much time buttering up crusts. They obviously did not think people would care enough about it to stop ordering but sales have gone down.
