Not only did the price of their polish dogs out in the store not change, but polish dogs are still an option in Canadian Costco food courts. They only removed them from the US ones because apparently they didn't sell well enough and franchisees were complaining about premaking too many and throwing them out.
The sad truth behind the loss of the polish dog... is that we didn't eat enough of them.

>> No.17345434

Nah, beef was typically cheaper than pork at the time when poor central and eastern European immigrants were settling in North America. A lot of traditional sausages and other dishes which used pork were instead adapted to use beef, and the trend has stuck.
For once, it's not actually the jews.

I must say, I never really believed the 'only mustard, no ketchup' people before, but I have to admit that the first dog was really good and better than the other, so I will no longer be putting ketchup on my dogs
Also this was the first time, also inspired by the thread, that instead of using the classic hot dog buns, I used thick slices of quality toast bread, and I must say that this I also preferred to the buns
So I am now a changed hot dog man
