a segment was about the lives of civilians, and funny enough what they ate
so they rolled in the ingredients, some prime beef, potatoes, onions, salt, pepper, some other spices, peas, carrots etc
like you could make a pretty good dinner with all of that stuff
and then they boiled it
they boiled all of it
into one big grey sludge and as far as I could tell not one hint of spice made it into that cauldron
after that they rolled in some geriatrics in their wheelchairs and they were all ranting and raving about how good their grey sludge was and how it reminded them of just how good things used to be

Forgive them, they live in the worst possible climate for human immune system so they need a shit ton of protein, fat and hot meals so they're driven to awfully unbalanced and terrible pooey food so that they can live. It's basically winter food on steroids, all year round for every meal. Their tastes are adjusted for health and thriving in their climate, not human (which is much different).

Did it have 4g of added sugar or 4g of sugar? Peas, carrots, and corn are naturally sweet vegetables and have sugar off-the-vine that US labeling laws say has to be put onto nutrition labels. 1 cup of peas naturally has about 8g of sugar in it, and 113 calories total.
All canned vegetables and beans (not baked beans; baked beans are in the soup category of canned stuff) I see don’t have added sugars. Though I get low-sodium because the salt added is insane.

It was added per serving . Of the plain canned vegetables I looked at about ten percent had added sugar .

At the rate we're going at some point in the future baked beans will just be a can full of sugar with a bean in it .
