>fat people (ALR) be like: I would be ravenous on 1600 calories
Meanwhile you could have 400 grams of oats a day and meet that. The issue is youd get bored as a fatty and the reality is the addiction isn't to food: its to table sugar

Honey isn't table sugar. Fruit isn't table sugar. My point is you could eat HALF THE BAG of oats every day for 1600 calories, clearly no sane human would actually get that down. From there realizing you can sacrifice 100 calories for blue berries out of the oats, 100 calories for meat, 100 calories for honey. And you still get 350 grams of oats for the day. My contention here is its basically only after adding table sugar that it becomes exceedingly easy to even pass the CICO threshold, not that i believe its the end all be all, I think theres other benefits to eating grain over sugar obviously

You think that but don't realize the reason is because all the foods you probably enjoy sneak it in:
Xanthum gum (sauce thickener)
Table sugar
Glucose
High fructose corn syrup
They use many names for it under ingredients. And if you dont look for it, you're eating it.
I guarantee if you eat 3000 calories on meat, grains, honey, fruit, veggies, youll never gain weight with no exercise. But also your body would never allow it youd get a strong feedback mechanism once the table sugar is cut.
Yes oil moderation, salt moderation can be important but not nearly to the same degree

>you could have 400 grams of oats
Is that supposed to be a lot? I mean, it's not little, but I could definitely eat that much and have room for more. Oats are filling in the moment because they take up a lot of volume but once all the water leaves your stomach you're left feeling hungry again, so 400 grams is not as much as it seems.

one half pint of ben and jerrys ice cream has 2500 calories. it says that it contains 5 servings.

I read that AFTER I had eaten the whole thing thinking the half pint was one serving. it wasn't even 2 scoops of ice cream.

dude that was 21 years ago, I don't remember.
the container said 5 servings and the total was 2500 calories. I just remember that it was half a pint and I couldn't eat anything else for the rest of the day.

the place I worked for was celebrating something and bought everyone a half pint of ice cream. I had just finished eating mine when someone came in and said "you didn't just eat all that" so I read the nutrition info and said the serving size was some ridiculously small amount. I thought a half pint was one serving and had only 500 calories.

If there were such a thing as a regular Ben & Jerry's ice cream clocking in at 2,500 calories per *half* pint (5,000 per pint) every hungry skelly in existence would eat it and it'd be more popular than GOMAD.

Try oat (not the packaged type with chemicals added), salt, cinnamon, and once it cools add honey on the spoon as you eat it.

Doing experiments on yourself usually doesn't produce very useful results, especially in the case you're describing where your findings are subjective feelings instead of an impartial diagnostic test.
You know what you're doing and what you're expecting. There's a reason actual research involves studies where the subjects aren't the same people as the researchers and aren't aware of what's being looked for or whether they're the experimental group vs. the control group.
