What is the reason for a little side sink basin like in pic related? Does it serve any special purpose or is it just a size thing? What do you use it for?

Yeah it's a rinser.
What I find baffling is when people use a plastic tub in the sink when washing dishes. The sink is already a basin! there's no need to add another.

Freshwater is classified as a renewable resource which renews via the water cycle. The speed of the renewal varies by climate, which is why desert-bound Calicucks have to worry about conserving it. However, projecting that to everyone else when most people live where there is more than enough freshwater renewing more than fast enough for everyone is foolish. Freshwater may be a "precious resource" in the desert of southern California, but it's not remotely that way in, say, the states around the Great Lakes.

And just in case you were worried that Lake Erie might run out of water soon, know that it contains 127 TRILLION gallons of water and in 2019 the water level rose to a record high which meant that it had about an extra 5 trillion gallons in it at that time. So not only do we have more than enough water for the entire region, the lake even replenishes itself so quickly that it's capable of continuing to reach record high water levels over time and thereby hold extra water even while we drain it for our indoor plumbing. Meanwhile Calicucks cry about freshwater being a nonrenewable global resource just because they live in a barely inhabitable desert and project their water scarcity on everyone else despite the fact that everyone else has more water than they even know what to do with. I could waste hundreds of gallons of water per day and not make a dent in this system, and we haven't even begun talking about the sewer system and how water from plumbing is purified and reused which further reduces our need to pump in new water from our overly-abundant freshwater sources.

Droughts happen and water becomes precious. Coke privatizes water sources and residents of the area lose access.
Water scarcity is absolutely a thing, and there are circumstances where that matters. Conservation of water is an actual issue. You not understanding that, or not being impacted by it, doesn't change that it is real.

Older houses used to have hot water sourced from a tank in the loft or similar, that would then go through a heater. Since this was not considered as safe as the fresh, potable water through the cold tap, they were kept separate.

Even though modern supplies may have been put in, or fitted from the start, its is a practice that still persists.

All cities have plumbing. People too far outside the cities have wells.

>Then other flyover states will prosecute you and confiscate your house if you capture or store rainwater in any way.
Where does this myth even come from? Pic related, there are some states (particularly more arid states) that have some restrictions on rainwater collection, but those are mostly to prevent large scale operations from collecting and redirecting so much rainwater that it could negatively impact the flow of rainwater into rivers and lakes. No one is trying to stop individuals from collecting water in barrels in their back yard, but I see Eurotards claim this all the time for some unknown fucking reason.

That's because water rights are a serious issue and one of the few resources that genuinely requires federal intervention. Namely because unlike other natural resources, water cannot and does not stay isolated.
This isn't just a matter of individual rights; States will frequently sue one another if they haven't gotten enough or if the quality has dropped too much on its way downriver. Our entire economy is propped up by agriculture, and the only deprivation that kills a person faster than dehydration is suffocation.

Also:
>Flyover states
Colorado and California have some of the strictest water restrictions in the US.
Both of which are tourist hotspots with some of the highest living costs in the US.
This isn't an issue with infrastructure or class.

>t. lives in a shithole
everything is the landcucks responsibility, even if the contract says otherwise, because tenants aren't allowed to sign away their rights and anything in a contract which contradicts the tenancy laws is automatically invalid.
I cucked my last landlord out of the bond and a few thousand more by leaving a big nigger mess, waiting until he tried to claim the bond for a cleaning company (which was owned by his son, lmao), then pointing out to the tenancy tribunal that he wrote in the contract "mandatory payment for cleaning out of bond regardless of state of property", which is illegal, regardless of the fact I signed it, because our tenancy laws state that no unconditional/mandatory restrictions can be put on the bond.
I made back the last two months of rent by doing that, and that dumb landcuck had to clean up all the mess for free (he tried to bill me 2200 for what was obviously a 3-4 hour job, lmao).
Every time I move, I look through the contract to see what laws they break so I can exploit them for it later.
