I use mine for steaks and chops and it does a great job. It cooks a bit slower than a flat iron pan because the steak is raised up on the grill bits but I find that's a good thing. Still gets plenty of caramelization but a more interesting look and texture

Neat OP. My younger cousin got one of those for Christmas a year or two ago and we tried it out together. We ended getting too much of Lv. 7 on the crackers we were using (after going through Lv. 1~6) and had to break out a pint of ice cream from his Mom's freezer in a hurry afterwards. Mango Habenero is pretty good.

got this a couple years ago too and still haven't finished them. not for lack of good heat:flavor ratio, but I keep them away from my kitchen so I dont use them too often. Datil has that almost raw capsaicin smell to it, but its balanced by vinegar. not really any sweetness to speak of, mostly savory/sour pepper spice. imagine if habaneros were a thai pepper. rest are pretty straight forward. jalapeno is maybe closer to pickled jalapeno juice than a hot sauce made from jalapenos imo. best thing I did with the datil is a vegetable stir fry but when I added the garlic into the pan to fry once the veges cooked I added whole sardines that marinated in soy sauce, datil and orange zest, and a generous squeeze of orange juice, garnished with furikake seasoning. it's fine with fried chicken(gizzards/hearts/livers), fried egg sammiches, hawaiian pizza, pork rinds, pork and beans, 3 day old Arby's Gyros and cashews as well. didn't like it as much with tex-mex or chili though.
