I know it's early yet for most of you but share what Santa left you this year

I live in Aus and my mother lives in the US, she sent me some nice stuff this year. Absolutely thrilled about the Thermapen, It goes up to 300ºC so I can actually measure my fry oil now

I'm interested to see how the stovetop smoker works, seems neat.

I got a $200 westfield voucher and some undies.
I spent $205 on presents (well, I gave $180 to my sister to get presents and $25 to pay for some of dinner).
Mum got this fancy milk frother thing. Looks interesting.

After my suicide attempt in the spring I fell out with any friends and family I have left. It was nice not having to Christmas shop but I haven't left my apartment in 6 weeks and haven't spoken in person with someone since October. I just keep hoping I don't wake up. So I guess not waking up in the morning would be the best gift I could receive. At least I wouldn't have to feel alone anymore

Rib roasts were on sale near me, and my father said he's never cooked one because he didn't want to spend that kind of money on meat. So I bought one for him and injected it with marinade and seasoned it for him, them vacuum sealed it so he can freeze it and cook it whenever. Pic unrelated

Hey friend. I feel like you do sometimes. I wanted to be alone my whole life, and a few years after I got my wish, I started to feel real loneliness. Jesus has been waiting to hear from you. He will always be listening and waiting. You can pray to him and he will be there for you. I hope you do. I will pray that you speak with him.

You're gonna wanna use that outside unless your stove has a very good ventilation system, BTW. Otherwise your whole kitchen/house will smell like smoke for days.

>> No.17176708

>>17176662
Yeah I'll look more into it on youtube and such. It says it contains the smoke fairly well but we'll see about that. Plus when you open it I imagine there'll be a gigantic plume. I have a portable gas stove and a portable induction so I might just use it outside. I also recently inherited a gigantic vertical gas smoker so I might not have any use for this little guy anyway

It won't. Home ovens can't get nearly hot enough to cook a pizza properly with your dinky little tray. You need a fucking pizza stone/steel, or a cast iron pan and use the broiler method. Enjoy your shitty cracker crusts retard.

I'm bored with life. and it just kind of goes through these cycles of shit and it never really gets better and people just get more afraid. growing up with the stupid constant threat of nuclear annihilation was exhausting. But at the end of the day coca cola and mickey mouse did what billions of dollars in military one upping couldn't do. With nothing left to scare us we had to make sure that the middle east became our next big scare tactic, Terrorism didn't have to use traditional military tactics, once we got used to that then we had to have medical scares to control us. It's exhausting bro, life is exhausting, people are exhausting. But really it just comes down to the fact my brain is fucking broken and self preservation just isn't present anymore

Last year I got my mom a zelite knife and she liked it, but I was kind of disappointed with it. I asked for a chefs knife this year and just asked that she do some research to find a good one. She got me the same brand and there is some tarnishing of the steel at parts of the blade! I’m not sure if it’s rust, but will post pics later. Any one have experience with this brand?
