Most baking instructions are 4 sentences. But yet when I follow them the goods never turn out as expected. I add the exact amounts of water flour baking powder etc for dough, and try to knead it but it becomes all crumbly and what not. I'm convinced baking is a talmudic trick to keep us goys distracted. I find baking is a bit counterintuitive for me. As an autist, I want to make sure something is a perfect uniform consistency. So I tend to overmix whenever I throw something in the mixer. It leads my breads to be harder than they need to be. I’ve had decent attempts at macaronage but I never quit get the perfectly consistent macaron cookie consistency and get bubbles.

It's a common problem for gigachads, OP. Just feel fortunate that you can even operate at all in a kitchen; I'm completely useless. At 6'14", I have to stoop to avoid hitting the ceiling.
