I knew some weeaboos who only like jap curry and not indian or pakistani. Japanese curry is a third generation curry - it originated in India, British adapted it for their taste, then the British brought it to Japan where it was altered further to fit the japanese palate.

Huh, I didn’t know that. Pretty interesting

>> No.17167997

Not even that altered. Atleast the Thai did something with it. Jap curry is just mild Indian curry.

In a funny bit of roundabout humour, Japanese sailors originally didn't take well to the idea of serving curry the traditional way with bread. In Japan, bread has always been seen as a sort of dessert food. So when the Japanese Navy adopted the British Navy tradition of curry on Fridays, they opted to serve it with rice instead.
Nowadays, outside of India, it's very common to see curry served with rice instead of bread, which is still the standard in most of India.

It's hard boiled eggs, onions, tomatoes, some herbs and spices. There shouldn't be anything that fucks up my stomach.

Egg bhurji is the normal way I eat Indian eggs. It's delicious. https://www.indianhealthyrecipes.com/egg-bhurji-andhra-egg-porutu/

A few notes If you don't usually make Indian food and decide to try it: the 1/2 teaspoon of red chili powder does not mean cayenne pepper. I usually use kashmiri chili powder, which is sort of like a spicier paprika in terms of flavor. For the green chili, I usually use jwala peppers. Indian peppers will give a more authentic flavor, but use any type of pepper you like and it'll taste good. This is a super flexible recipe so play around with it, it's not like making macarons where deviations can easily screw everything up.

well they must have something figured out to have 99% of population using improved sanitation facilities. i revise my statement. the country should be near 100% by this metric.

theres no excuse for being in the 70's and any country in the 70s should never boast about cuisine from there.
