Honestly, just make it yourself or import a bottle. The texture isn't as firm, which makes it better for dipping compared to mayo which is fluffy and more spreadable.
In theory, you "might" be able to convert standard mayo into a fritessaus substitute by adding warm water and vinegar to loosen the texture, but most store brand mayonnaises are formulated with just the right amount of emulsifiers and thickeners that they don't take well to being altered.
