Spain, Italy, Portugal and France all prove that white people have robust and flavorful cuisine. Even if you're so far gone that you don't consider Spanish, Portuguese, and Italians white, France is still there. German food, too, it's actually remarkably similar to American "soul food". I think the meme comes from Midwest America, where most folks are descended from swedes and Norwegians, who in turn just eat pickled fish and stuff. I don't know how Midwestern shit came to typify all of American food, though; I grew up in Macon, Georgia and my mama always made fried chicken and collard greens and other "soul food" items, but we're white as snow. It wasn't a black or white thing, that's just what southern folks eat. It's also like no one ever heard of Cajuns. I don't get it, either, there's not even a lot of people in the Midwest, not nearly enough to make it seem like that's the food and culture everywhere in this big ass fucking country.
