Sometimes.
Funny story from last night - I pulled 3 of 5 items from the hotbag to give to the customer (it's hard to pull out everything at once if the hotbag is full) The fatty I delivered to panicked for a split-second, going "Is that it!?" before I pulled out the other 2 items. They were legit panicked that I hadn't bought them all their food.

Sometimes when I order from my local dominos, the pizza tracker says “Reiko began custom-making your order at X:XXpm”.
So of course I get exited because eating that pizza will mean I’m indirectly licking the fingers of a cute Japanese grill.
But the naysaying faggots on /ck/ tell me that Reiko is a tranny.

Reiko is an actual female Japanese qt, right?

I dunno, but most likely your pizza is made by either
1. A mid 20's single mom with bad teeth who looks in her mid-40s
2. A 15 year old child still in high school
or 3. The fat manager who's worked at Dominos for 15 years and can slap and top a specialty pizza in under 30 seconds flat perfectly

>> No.17130045

>>17130006
No but there's some kind of weird promotional thing where, if you order for delivery, you MIGHT get a free item like lava cakes or the specialty chicken. As far as I can tell it's completely random as to which customer gets it and kind of rare, but I'm not bullshittin' ya.

>>17130056
Yes and not going to divulge but I'm in a semi-rural region.
For maximum topping percentage, order 3 topping larges. 2 and 3 toppings get treated kind of the same proportions-wise so you kind of miss out ordering 2-toppers.
Can't really suggest anything specific but avoid ordering during peak hours if you want your food fast (ie 7 pm on a friday night) From my perspective the best specially pizza is the ultimate pepperoni - comes with like 70 pupperonis and extra cheese. yum!

>>17130369
Sounds like shitty management. All corporate can do is bitch at the current management. Hopefully the store had some turnover to get some better people in.
>>17130447
That sucks. My guess is that they were either super busy and one of the line workers accidentally bumped your pizza (there's an order screen and you have to bump the items off as you put them in the oven, that way you can track what's been made) without making it, OR workers were jacking off because it was slow and simply didn't make it (sadly seen this happen before, especially with high school kids). Incidents like that are called "brand-damaging" because it makes people say fuck ordering from Domino's again and are to be avoided at all costs. Besides a refund you should have been given a voucher or free pizza or something else for the time wasted.
>>17130490
Not true. All the different sized doughs come in on separate trays in the truck. Now brooklyn style gets stretched differently but I'm honestly not sure how.

That's a tough one. Pan 'zas will have a wider crust with less sauce, so you might want to add an extra cheese or even a dipping sauce or two to finish the crusts off with. You could try adding cheddar, 50/50 (cheddar and moz mix) or even the parmesean/asiago blend. I've honestly never seen someone order a well-done pan, so dunno if that would be any good. The whole point of pan is to get that nice caramelization on the outside of the crust.

I ordered some cinnamon twists to take with me! Yum.
Hope everyone who ordered tonight enjoyed their food. Please tip your drivers.

We had a new hire, for like an hour.
I was as polite as could be, and was completely professional in conversation.
She seemed totally fine. I never noticed any signs that she was frustrated or upset or anything.
Quick learner, she was cranking out pies in like 15 minutes after she figured out where everything was.
Then all of a sudden, she literally just walked over to the manager and said something, then walked out. Come to find out what she said was "I don't like it here".
AAAAHHHHHH.
It wasn't even during a rush or anything. We were slow that day. If it was anything I did or said, I have no idea what it would have been. Even the "mean" manager was as nice as possible to her to avoid scaring her off.

Sometimes it's someone making a massive order that takes a lot of time. We usually park it but it still delays the rest of the food. Another reason is because some burgers (and drinks) such as the new festive stack burgers take like 3/4 mins to cook the chicken. Most burgers take a min, so when people order those it creates a delay but its not long enough to park it. But I'd say mostly it's customers making requests at the window. They will request new chips or food because its not hot enough (even when it is) so we have to cook them new food or they'll order the wrong drinks and then ask us to make them a different drink even though its their fault.

Between you and me, literally just call the place and talk to them like a human being, there might be a special on, or maybe just the precision of actual human communication will make for a better pie.
All I'm saying is if you're like a regular or whatever, and you actually call the place and talk to a person, and all the people there know who you are, and your status as a regular, then they're likely to hook you up.
For example, there's actually a few types of pies I'm not officially supposed to be able to make, but if so-and-so calls up, then yo dude it's so-and-so and that shit gonna get made.

Everything is pretty fresh surprisingly, we'll start cooking a bunch when someone orders them and if there's left over we'll use it for other orders but only if they're a few mins apart. If the nuggets are more than 10 mins old we chuck them and put a cook a fresh batch (usually) so you're likely getting fresh ones every time. It's against food health and safety to serve old food and customers complain if it's not not/fresh so only sleazy mcdonalds would keep old food. I have no idea what's in the beef patties. The cookies/sealed desserts are decent but probably the least fresh thing at McDonald's because if they're not sold we'll replace the sell by date sticker to the next day and they can be left for days and sold as "fresh" if no one buys them

Not OP, but the most common stuff like that that I see aside from special instructions for the pie is stuff like 'go around back' or 'honk when you get here' or '[model and color of car]' or 'leave it on the X'. Instructions on where to go with the pie, basically.
I don't drive deliveries so I'm not sure how useful that stuff is to the drivers, but they don't complain and the customers who ordered don't complain so I guess it works.

so I order from Dominos every so often through the website. they have choices of pie cut or square cut. I always choose pie cut and double check before checking out that it still says pie cut. I know if you make any changes in the order it will default back to square cut. even when it goes through as pie cut it's usually only 50 percent of the time it actually IS pie cut. do they even check the orders before sending them out?

Then again I am a driver, and if management is too cheap/stupid to have insiders on shift instead of making drivers earn their fucking bonus for them, fuck them.

ok. that makes sense. I wasn't keeping track when it got cut which way depending on what I ordered but at least there is a logic to that. didn't know they had the drivers do anything other than deliver the pizzas

>> No.17142944

>>17142870
That cut was how we had been trained. Simple as.

As a driver you get to do it all. Typically it is getting the phones or folding boxes when you are not on runs. Other times you clean, or wash dishes, whatever needs to be done when you are not on a run like catching the ovens (cut table). In one of the Dominos, they used sauce concentrate (Downtown Ft. Worth) and I would put it in the tubs, add water and use a giant whisk attachment on a drill to mix that shit.

As a closer I would work the busiest shift and get the best tips, but that typically means it is the manager and two drivers cleaning everything and then doing a bank run at about 1 or 2 in the AM.

Thanks senpai, you got me SO many free pizzas over the years.

I always order my standard crust dominos pizzas with square cut, because by default it comes pie cut. And when I get my pizza that is inevitably NOT square cut, I complain. Which basically always resulted in a refund and or a free pizza coupon.

I'd also order my free pizza square cut and when it didn't come square cut i'd complain again.

Do this 3x+ a week for 5 years before the store finally just started actually checking to make sure it was square cut.

Now it's VERY rare to get a pizza where the cut is fucked up from my local store, so i haven't been able to complain much in the last 2-3 years.

It was good while it last though, probably got at least 30-40 pizzas for free.
