It was very comfy. I would get a slice of Little Caesars pizza with a small bread (pack of crazy bread cut in half) and an Icee. Sometimes id get a Nathan's Famous hotdog and nachos w/cheese. Zoomers will never get to enjoy this.

My Kmart was attached to a Little Caesar's. It wasn't the Little Caesar's of today, it was much better. It had the softest, gooiest cheese. It's a fond memory.

i was a kid so i don't remember it blowing my tits off but it's a kmart so you automatically know it didn't

i remember they closed the restaurant when kmart started tanking hard, but you could still go behind the taped area if you were a rogue, unattended child such as myself. recall it being very dark but i could see a bit with the residual light from the store. think all the tables and chairs were pushed to the back and there was nothing left in there except for large equipment like the fountain machine. that area in that moment left a weird impression on me and i had dreams take place there from time to time for years afterwards. i guess this would be what kids would call a "liminal space" these days.

When I was a kid, our Kmart had a large ice cream counter. They had a rainbow ice cream they called superman that I loved to get.

I have a very distinct memory of my mom buying me the digimon movie on vhs at kmart then having a slice of little caesars at the cafe.
Very nostalgic.

My K-Mart's cafeteria looked more like this, but without the gross wallpaper. They cooked burgers fresh on the griddle, greasy as hell. To a kid they were the best thing ever.

i was thinking more after this post and recalled that this particular kmart we regularly visited went through a remodel in the 00s and became a super kmart. my memories of their food court were mostly in the 90s when it was a regular kmart. this area was tucked all the way in the back of the store with as little foot traffic to it as there could possibly be. it also had no windows. i remember something about buckets being around. i think pipes were leaking and destroying the ceiling. without sufficient circulation i bet that meant also meant lots of mold. one health inspection later they closed that dark awful food court. it sat empty until they demolished or at least partially demolished the building to remodel it into a super kmart which stayed open for at least a decade or more and closed sometime around 2013-2015, where the entire building was demolished and replaced with a menards.
