look, I’m a little poor at the moment. i just ate breakfast lunch, so I’m good til it’s time again. before then I gotta go get a grocery. one single can of dried beef, and while I’m at Kroger I’m gonna use 10 cents off so I can get to work tomorrow. my plan is to have creamed chipped beef on toast and succotash out of a can in my cabinet for dinner. there’s a problem though.

I don’t know how to make it offhand, I’ve never done it before despite eating it and enjoying it. I could ask my grandma, but that involves necromancy and I lost my virginity between middle and high school so that’s out. I tried to look up a recipe, but everything is like Juliannes real country livin yeehaw faggot ass shit and it doesn’t feel genuine to me. i want it like your grandpa had it at the field mess when he was in Korea fighting the yellow devil. so I’m gonna ask here instead and hopefully I can get a good response before dinner time, god forbid I have to read some fucking mommy blog written in the time she had between letting her 70k custom truck fake redneck 3 story homeowner husband beat the absolute loving fuck out of her and trying to fuck her stepson.
anyway I’m just bitter about normies, any help would be appreciated though

Also cheap meal general if that isn’t a thing already

You piece of shit, how hard is it to combine these ingredients into a bechemal, cum in it, and then add your garbage dumpster beef?
I hope you reconsider your life while you slop through this sad repast.

i reconsider my life every goddamn worthless day of this gray existence as I am sure you do the same. if not and your success in life has brought you comfort, know that you will be brought low by time and age, the greatest equalizer of all.

Kay. Brown the meat in some fat or butter, then remove from pan. Little bits of beef and browning streaks in the pan are fine, don't clean it after removing the beef. Start melting butter or fat in pan on medium heat, add equal parts weight of flour (no, you don't have to weigh it, just eyeball it if you aren't a total autist or complete klutz) once the fat starts to melt. Stir continuously. When it comes to gether, it should have the consistency of really fine wet sand on a beach that you picked up. Kinda clumps together, doesn't really leak out anything. Sizzling is fine, if it starts to boil, reduce heat. Keep stirring until it is golden brown and smells nutty instead of like glue. Slowly add in milk while stirring. Start off very slow, you can increase the speed you add it as it comes together. for one can (I'm guessing 8 oz beef), you'll probably want the same amount of sauce, if not more, so looking at about a table spoon of butter and maybe 1/4 cup flour, start off with about a cup of milk. Stir the soupy mess periodically, keeping the heat at a simmer, no boiling, and try to keep the sides of the pan/pot clean. As it thickens, you may need to add more milk. If it still soupy after 10 minutes, turn the heat up and start stirring continuously until it thickens into the consistency of sauce you like. Add beef, salt and pepper to taste. Toast your bread and saute your veg while the saucy beef is on low heat and periodically stirred, combine. If you have some booze, garlic, onion, nutmeg or some herbs, it can be better, but for basic bitch creamed beef, that's all there really is to it.
