For the record, most of the time working in an ICU is not actually very hectic. It's not like the movies most of the time.
A lot of is about constant but manageable finetuning of respirators and drugs to keep all the numbers on the screen in that goldilocks zone.
I'd say 2-5% of the time is the stuff where we're doing chest compressions and yelling "clear" and "stat" etc.
The fun part is that you never know when that time will be.
