If I shoot any more deer I’m going to need a stand-alone.

What's with you freaks, you think he's killing poor little bambi?

You should get a stand alone if you hunt and store the meat. They're pretty cheap too. Get the chest freezers.

I've some top opening ones that are pretty big but best suited to put in a garage, plus they need a decent power source which a garage likely already has.

Yes they literally do. These city fags only ever see tree rats if they're lucky. They have no idea how invasive deer are, and they need to be culled yearly because they really do not have natural predators anymore unless you live somewhere with wolves

Post pics of deer chili. Try adding some massa like Ree Drummond, it's good.

i have standalone chest freezer but live in brooklyn. filled it up at labor day and cooked through in summer, it's mostly empty now because not eating as much meat for health and cost reasons. would love to fill it up with deer/venison from hunting.

I keep them at my camp. I did shoot an 8 point this year because he was a large bodied deer. I’m a meat hunter, not trophy.

>>17080944
Plan on it, highly likely I shoot another this year. Perhaps two more.

>>17081998
Just added, it’s frozen now but I cut the logs down and vac seal them in about thirds. A lot more manageable. Freezing them a bit first separates the casing easier.

>>17082191
It sorta just looks like chili? I make a lot of taco salad with the ground actually. It’s cut with 10% bacon to make it stick better for burgers, which are fantastic. I also make a lot of jerky.

I can’t believe you hunt and don’t even have a deep freezer.

>> No.17083841

>>17080498
You need a deep freezer anyway for all that meat. Deep freezers get colder and aren't frost-free. Your meat will last a lot longer in one and they're only a couple hundred bucks

Deer.

>>17083824
Haven’t really needed one. This is like 2.5 deer. I share with friends and family. But if I shoot 1-2 more this year I will need one. I eat a lot of venison so three deer doesn’t last me all that long.

>> No.17083865

>>17083841
I predominantly eat venison to the point I buy next to no red meat. Never had any go bad. But deer this year we’re all exceptionally large for the area (all dressed out over 150lbs) so it’s extra full.

I'm too lazy to walk out to my shop where my chest freezer is, but it's full of 120 lbs of Halibut from an Alaska trip last August
