There's a term I hate every time I hear or read it.

Full. English. Breakfast.

It's just english breakfast, you retards. You don't have to say full.

Burger here. I thought that the “breakfast” would art of the full English breakfast was the unnecessary word. So it would just be called a “Full English”. Does this make sense, and is it accurate?

>> No.17078200

We usually call it a "full 'lish 'fast" here.

>> No.17079121

The use of the word "full" implies the inclusion of all the core components: beans, eggs, sausages, bacon and bread. Without any of these it's not a full English, just a cooked breakfast/fry-up. Optional additions include black pudding, hash browns, tomatoes, mushrooms, etc.

The problem is foreigners attempting to replicate our breakfast use the full English without knowing what it means, so they inevitably use it wrong

We don't have a word for it in the South that I know of, but it's a similar concept, even the beans in some homes. You need a certain number of ready ingredients available year round and a leftover to fry.
