Are you going miss them?
Their co founder died and they don't know how the future of the restuarant will be, they may sell it off, disband so many things can happen

>> No.17048161

I hope anyone who has eaten at subway in the last three years dies from mega aids.

>Their co founder died and they don't know how the future of the restuarant will be
They're the biggest multinational fast food chain. There's no way an artificial giant like that would die just because some boomer kicked it. It's literally too big to fail, especially since most franchises are just run on the local sub shop model with paid-for branding.

>> No.17048172

What reasons do we have to believe this bullshit that the company will somehow die without its co-founder? Plenty of food companies outlive their founders. Anyway subway has already been shit for years even while the co-founder was alive so if they fall apart soon it won't be because Peter Buck is gone.

They had a bad run recently, they were in talks about selling it off, liquidating, among other things, their 2 Co founder death's sealed the deal the second one died before they could negotiate.

>Planned on selling the.selves to burger king recently
>Bought another chain called fire house subs recently so they're low on money after that 1.1 billion
>new chief executive is retarded and is squeezing chains for more money, raising fees etc.
>deluca who ran it before didn't do long time planning, gave role to sister who knows jack shit
>no one knows what's in the founder's will
>people would likely buy it but it's been dying ever since so it's a gamble if it ever gets good again
>other managerial problems

I doubt it. Franchises are largely independent and all it takes is a skeleton crew corporation to keep the gears spinning. There's a reason why they're in nearly fucking every country around the world.

Blimpie is making a huge comeback. Perhaps all the Subways will become Blimpies?

>> No.17048339

Subway is in all the places where nobody else is.

In every rural Midwest farm road crossing there is a subway/gas station combo.

Subway sucks, but it will not fail, and it is certainly not as bad as other chains, like Burger King.

Its plausible that subway will close a number of their stores, but they will be mostly suburban, where better alternatives are plentiful (jersey mikes, jimmy John's, etc.), followed by their urban stores; but their Walmart, hospital, college campus, and rural gas station locations will never die.

Subway was better when it was run by indians. Sometime in the last 10 years all the ones near me got taken over by nogs and the quality of service went down the toilet. I miss their bread when they cut a triangle out of the top.

absolutely anyone can go to the store and buy some ingredients and make a better sandwich than subway for less money than subway. I don't like paying for a sandwich and having the person add such a small amount of ingredients. I'm paying a premium, and yet they add as little as possible so I, the customer get raped in the wallet as much as possible. Forget it, having been there for years, and never going back for their food.

It's the franchisees who take on the risk when they do that, not the company itself. The company makes money on licensing out its brand name and providing restaurant supplies.
