Why do /ck/ and /fit/ keep saying it tastes bad? I had it alongside chicken and beef. The liver had inherently more flavor than the others. Is this just a case of americans being pussies and hating everything that isn't bird or cow?

Americans literally invented eating beef liver. It is a quintessential blue plate special at any good diner.

Take a chicken breast, a slab of beef and liver. Season them all the exact same way and liver would still have the most flavor. I don't know why niggers don't even want to try liver when it's clearly superior

plenty of people eat liver. it borderlines on uncommon but it isn't quite there yet. it's more popular with older people. if I had to pick a number out of my ass I would say 1 in 10 people under the age of 30 eat liver. probably like 1 in 4 people over the age of 40.

NTA but I think you're grossly overestimating those figures, at least as far as NA is concerned. I guess it also depends what you mean by "eating liver". Does pâté count? What about people that will eat it out of politeness but will never ever seek it out or purchase it on their own?

of course you can, but it doesn't mean it's commonly purchased. I'm admittedly talking out of my ass, I have no idea, but if you consider the liver to meat yield on a beef carcass, then consider that some of it surely ends up in pet food, then consider how many people a neighborhood supermarket serves, the 3 packages of liver you see at the store does not in any way indicate that people commonly eat liver. Which, mind you, is fine by me, it keeps costs down

I tried my best to like liver, cooking it with mushrooms and onions and what not, but liver mush is incredible, it's a good way to get the nutrients of liver without the taste and texture

I kind of like plain liver but I get sick of the taste after like four bites. Not sure if that's because I don't really need all the iron it has or maybe I just haven't had good quality liver prepared properly. But liverwurst is good too, it's kind of like bologna with a little bit of a stronger flavor, but it's really good on rye bread with some swiss cheese, pickles, onions, and mustard.

Liver tastes exactly like stomach bile. The smell and flavor of liver is exactly the same as the lingering taste of vomit in your mouth, unironically. You literally just like the flavor of human sick. Why don't you just go lick up someone's barf off the floor?

Well I eat it maybe thrice a year, but I like the bloody taste and some older animals are nice and chewy. It's a very special meal because it's a single organ so you don't get a lot when slaughtering. You've got to change it up a little so you get more of the different nutrients.

I eat grass-fed beef liver from a butcher within 1-2 days of buying it (very important to get raw meat from a trusted source). You'll feel a natural high the next day, truly an amazing feeling.
Easy way to eat it is to dice it small and only chew a little before swallowing. If it's super fresh it surprisingly won't taste or smell that strong, certainly not as much as cooked liver.
