I feel like old women are much better at cooking than old men and young women are much worse at cooking than young men

is it true

It seems mostly true from what I've seen. I guess gender roles have shifted over the years.

Generally yeah, the reason is if you want to eat decently as a young person you have to learn to cook or eat out
And if you're a man you have to pay when you eat out

Men have always been chefs and cooks, they just have more time & money on their hands now with modern conveniences

I feel like this is true, but I don't actually know that many women. All my sisters are excellent cooks.

>> No.16971625

Women don't cook food to taste, they cook it to look good for photos and to not give them too many calories. Men cook food that you actually want to eat.

My grandmother only learned to cook when she married my grandfather.
Knew nothing about the kitchen before that but learned because that's what women did at the time.
Nowadays my mother can't cook anything more complex than eggs or a chicken breast, yet my father is a great cook.
I spend a lot of time cooking as well like most men my age.
I feel like men always were the cooks from the beginning

Guys are learning to cook out of necessity

depends.
depends on where you are, and depends if they want to reproduce.
the men i know that were really into cooking turned gay, or found a woman they could fuck instead and don't need to do it anymore, while women that can't cook either have pet cats, seem to appreciate the female form, or have learned to cook.

women did the cooking because men were out in the fields. that's why it became a woman's job. man works outside, woman inside.
before farming, cooking would only really happen when hunters caught something.

>before farming, cooking would only really happen when hunters caught something.
Not entirely true the women and kids would often go foraging while the men hunted in traditional hunter gatherer bands.

It's true in my experience. I've been at a girl's apt. in the morning and had to take over in the kitchen because she couldn't even make pancake batter. Other girls I've visited only had premade, store bought meals filling their freezers.

>> No.16973242

why are nearly all succesful chefs men then?

>> No.16973402

It's been true in my experience. I'm not really sure why that is though. All I know is that cooking is definitely becoming more manly now, I've seen other dudes get a lot of shit for not being able to cook more than a frozen meal.
