A friend of mine's son was coming home from school everyday talking about Trump because it turned out that the teacher ranted about Trump constantly. His son was in grade three. We are Canadian.

So while the socialisation is very important there are major red flags in the public school system that make me less likely to embrace it in the manner you described.
