I make pretty much everything I eat, so I don't expose myself to the fast food / restaraunt fat/salt/sugar filled shit that lots of people do. I don't drink soft drinks/energy drinks and stick to water, tea, and booze. When I snack it's not on processed shit but nuts or fruits instead. I love sauted vegies of all types, so they make up a large part of my meals along with various meats and carbs. I know how to maintain an exercise program that helps keep me fit, and I enjoy being fit and strong.

The bottom line is that I refuse to let myself turn into just another fat piece of shit running around in our western world.

Good exercise routine with 4 miles of running every other day with some lifting, reducing sugar, carb and fatty meat intake as much as possible and eating oatmeal at least 5 days a week for breakfast.

Not perfect but I've lost about 40 pounds since covid started and my BMI is the closest it has ever been to "normal weight". Gotta still live a bit though. Got some eggnog for a treat this week. ;)

Intermittent fasting
No fast food
No sweets/deserts/junk food/soda/snacks
No milk or sugar in coffee/tea
Eat vegetables as much as possible
Gluten free when possible (for instance gluten free wrap/bread for sandwiches. I ignore this rule for good pasta and stuff)

Even without exercising I don't gain any weight this way. But running and doing yoga on top of this will make you get in better and better shape.

Skip breakfast. Cook healthy dinners. The only liquids I drink are tea and water. Lift weights 4x a week. Active in general. My drink is vodka and club soda. The only bad things is when Im in a pinch for lunch there arent many healthy options

Nothing. I weight 110kg at 180 cm. It took me regular workouts and calorie counting several years ago to drop to 92kg. Obviously, weight bounced back right after.

I'm a filthy glutton.
Fast food? Huge portion.
Fatty, greasy meat? That roast isn't going to last for long.
Vegetables? I'll fucking destroy them.
That morning I snacked on a head of raw kolrhabi like on an apple.
The only thing that keeps me below 120kg is at least trying to eat healthier and incorporate more veg in the diet.
I pretty much gave up on myself like an alcoholic gives up on his liver.
Must have something with the fact that cooking and food is one of the few joys in life.

1) No added sugar or vegetable oil
2) Two meals a day, about 1000 cals each
3) Very limited snacking (handful of nuts)
4) 1000 mg of sodium added through electrolyte supplementation
5) Under 100g carbs every day, most of the time barely 50g carbs. No oatmeal, rice, bread, etc.
6) Coffee and tea to drink
7) No alcohol

The most difficult thing is avoiding snacking. I have to tear myself away from the pantry. Especially when I start eating a bunch of salted nuts.

However, the benefits are extraordinary. For one thing, I rarely if ever feel anxiety. My stomach feels great all the time. I rarely get brain fog or fatigue. I sleep like a baby and have vivid dreams. I feel happier than I have felt in a long time.
