When I buy Mac and Cheese I buy Kraft because I want to experience the same joy I used to have once a week when my babysitter would make us M&C and dinosaur shaped chicken nuggets. I don't care about the one which is healthier or more organic or is made with flax or which company sends its profits to poor Africans, I want that shitty, fatty, borderline gross mass produced shit so I can revel in my childhood and remember eating it while watching Clarissa Explains it All and Doug.

Easy mac actually has flavor. Annie's offers you the label of "organic" as a consolation prize for being flavorless but that's about all it provides.

mate, companies and restaurants have been doing this for years.
slapping organic onto something is the easiest way a group can charge twice or 3x as much for the exact same product.
in most countries and states there's no law stating that a product advertised as "organic" actually has to be.

it's just another marketing term like "fresh" or "farm fresh" and other buzzwords slapped onto packaging.

In my experience, type of milk doesn’t affect the flavor to a significant degree, but *absolutely* has a major impact on consistency.
I once made some using lactose-free milk; the result was insanely thin/watery “cheese” sauce.

becuase we have oatmilk in the fridge and i dont want to buy a gallon of milk for $3 or a quart of milk for $2.50 for just one or two boxes of mac n cheese
