it's not great to get into desu, but if you wanted to get used to scotch, for example, you cut it with water til it doesn't bother you, then just gradually reduce the amount of water you use. icing it will mute some of the flavor, too, but that is for actual faggots so only do that if you want to be certain you end up gay.

I'm thinking more like this, but without the label. I used to rent a place between a Serbian family and a Croatian one, and they both distilled their own hooch brandy from plums, pears and cherries from their family's orchards about an hour away. Around this time of year, the Serbians made a batch of cherry (visnjevaca?) with mistletoe and walnuts. They'd distill it on Christmas eve, and leave it on birch until the following Christmas. Truly vile shit, but I liked the tradition, and it went down just fine after the third shot.

When I was 5 I got violently sick after eating a stuffed bell pepper. Like, projectile vomit until my stomach was empty, then continued retching for another two hours until my torso muscles felt like they were dying. For ~15 years I couldn't eat bell peppers without feeling nauseous, till I did the exposure thing for a week with very tiny pieces of raw bell pepper.
Ended up doing the same thing to try to get a taste for red wine so I could more easily tolerate social gatherings.

Anyone else think booze tastes worse once they are drunk? I can take shots like it's nothing when I'm sober but once I get drunk the alcohol tastes like shit
