Honestly if you can't make a free break meal for yourself at a massive fast food restaurant chain there really isn't a reason to be working there any longer. It's legit the LEAST they could provide to their workers and it makes people so much happier at work.

Taco Bell was my favorite free meal work experience. Making my own food combos was great, putting as much or as little of things as I want on things. Heavenly. I used to put the chicken shell taco inside a crunchwrap with chipotle sauce, was great.

They get an average time for the day based on each window and the total time on the drive thru, which they can’t be too slow at.

I worked at KFC but McDonald’s uses the same software. If it was near the end of the night and we had heaps of chicken we’d be throwing out anyway, my boss would wait until a black family came through and after they ordered, would offer them 10 for pieces of chicken if they drive through the drive through 10 times.

It would drop the average down by a lot since it’s less than a second at each window and means we have to report less waste.

Because they normally get disturbed between cleaning it. It takes about 2 hours to thaw to begin with, so they usually stop around midnight so it’s ready to clean at 2am. The problem is that it actually takes time to clean it, probably around 30-40 uninterrupted minutes, but there’s always hardly any staff on at night so if a car comes through it interrupts the whole process. I'm male, but parent child dynamics are awful regardless of gender.

My mom would always say "I'm doing this for you" even though I never asked her to do the thing she was doing, and I was annoyed by what she was doing. This applied to a bunch of different stuff, but most often it was when she refused to let me eat junk food because my cholesterol was too high. The really sad part is that I was in my early 20s and commuting to college. I had no money, so I was fully reliant on my parents for everything. What really made my blood boil is that during one of the many times I begged my mom to let me have McDonald's, she said "but you've been doing so good." She said that like it would somehow support her argument, and she genuinely seemed to not understand that I didn't care what my cholesterol was, I just wanted McDonald's. Thankfully I lived on campus the following year, and I had unlimited access to the dining hall with my meal plan. I actually started losing weight after I started living on campus, and it turned out that my high cholesterol was due to the anti-depressant which I was taking, and my psychistrist took me off the medication right before I started living on campus. The medication was Abilify, and if you go to their website you'll see that it causes high blood sugar, high cholesterol, high triglycerides, and weight gain. There was even a class action lawsuit against the company because some people actually got diabetes from Abilify. But even after I confronted my mom with thus information, she still said that it was good to cut back on junk food.

Also, whenever I got mad at my mom for anything, she would say stuff like "what is really going on? There's no way you're this mad about something so minor." Other times she would say stuff like "We weren't abusive to you, there's no reason for you to be so mad." It was just so infuriating.

If McDonald's has food leftover at the end of the day, instead of throwing it away, they should give it to farmers to feed to their cows.
The farmer doesn't need to spend as much money on animal feed then. This lowers the cost of the meat, and in return, lowers McDonald's expenses on meat, making burgers cheaper for and potentially increasing profits. It's a win win win situation.

I posted earlier in the thread but it’s not half an hour. It takes 2 hours to thaw properly, about 30 minutes to clean the parts (assuming no cars come through at this time, otherwise you have to stop and start) and then an hour for it to freeze the milk mixture to a proper consistency. It’s out for about 4-6 hours depending on how busy it is during that cleaning time, as McDonald’s likes to staff only 2-3 people on at a time at night, so if a car comes through the person cleaning has to stop and deal with that every time.
