I'm drunk and have been thinking about this one for a while. Stay tuned for something special.

Can you guess what I will be making?

Bingo. Beer battered tuna fish sandwich. I thought these packets were worth trying when they were 2 for 1, but they dont flake like normal tuna.

First time ever making fried fish with a batter.

I will try my best. I'm using tallow I rendered and a thermometer for the oil. What could go wrong?

Oil almost up to temp. Bread in toaster. Homemade beet sauerkraut + mayo as dressing for sandwich. I grew the beets and the cabbage for the kraut, so it's extra delicious.

Might have had the stove set too low, but it's not looking bad. Hopefully it isn't soggy.

Well... here's the final, incredibly unflattering looking result. The batter came out very well. Light and crispy. The tuna is actually not dried out. Condiment is very tasty.

Fish and chips sandwich not good. I had a piece of the fried fish on it's own and it was not too bad for bagged tuna. The hearty crunch from the bread completely obscures the very nice crispy from the fried batter.

Overall better than I thought, but stick to fish and chips instead of bread.

I wasn’t even opposed to frying tuna pouch as an idea but that looks like a practical effects prop

You can't say I didn't call it with the thread title. I had a similar reaction when I cut it half.

There's a possibility it works as a sandwich with a very lightly toasted bread that doesn't have much chew to it.

It was a worthwhile experiment because I have a couple more pouches to use and for the people.

Last time I drunkenly deep fried I ended up deep frying anything in my fridge I could batter.

Kind of a crime to use these innocent pure ingredients on that abomination though
