Egg nog is obvious.
Food was always these almond cookies my mom made, as well as this sort of apple crumble type thing. I honestly don't know what you'd call it. It's weird and I live it but I've never seen it elsewhere. It's just apples, and then this sugar, flour, egg mixture poured over it and baked. I love it.
For food, roast beef and roast potatoes. Sometimes ham. Simple stuff.

I hate the holidays because I have no friends (except for Jews, Muslims and Chinese) and come from a broken family.

Almost every Christmas my family goes to Las Vegas but apart from the buffets we have a few odder traditions
>On the way there we stop by a Russian deli/market to get smoked salmon, smoked mackerel, blood sausage, smetana, and black or buckwheat bread
>While in Vegas we visit a Phillipino grocery store in the morning, have breakfast at Jollibee, and get produce and fried pork, fried fish, and fried intestines for diner.

I start eating mince pies from the end of September so by the start of November I'm sick of them, but still eat more anyway.

Full-on traditional christmas dinner with the whole family. Then we rest an hour before getting home-made brownies and home-made custard and sit to watch a new movie someone got as a gift.

Dad drinks a little too much, mom monitors his alcohol consumption down to the drop, making him tense, he accidentally drips something that could easily be cleaned up with a single paper towel on the tile of their pristine white kitchen, she has a panic attack, and throws the fully cooked turkey or ham into the outside trash while shrieking. I leave and eat at a bar.

That's basically been the last 5 Christmases and Thanksgivings have been for me.
