Burger King is superior food to McDonalds, but it's far too expensive for what you're getting and having worked there and seeing what happens behind the scenes I don't think I would want to eat there ever again

The standards where I worked were rock bottom. Undercooked food taken out of the broiler after 30 seconds and put in burgers, food being picked off the floor, chronically understaffed, everyone under-payed, meat being put in vegan burgers, appalling hygiene standards (I really cannot stress this one enough - absolutely revolting stuff), usually 1-2 workers doing all the work while the other 2-3 would just stand around and talk, staffed aren't actually trained on how to do anything, 15 year olds being employed and working 18+ hours some days, zero maintenance on the building - was common for tiles to fall from the ceiling, management just not giving a shit at all. I don't know if it's the case everywhere, but I somehow wouldn't be surprised since my store was one of the most profitable in the regions. While I was there not a single person got fired - yet everyday someone would do something which in any other company they'd be out the door for. In fact our two worst workers left for a rival, immediately got fired and then our manager instantly took them back.

If I really wanted to I could probably compile enough evidence to get that place shut down.

Burger King has less corporate oversight than most chains over their franchises and it leads to insane variances in quality, in my experience a good majority of them are like what you said, but on the very rare occasion you find a well managed one that runs a tight ship, it's great
