Grew up with a large family so we would usually get something with toppings and at least one plain cheese since some of my younger siblings where picky etc.
Honestly don't ever recall eating a pizza with just peperoni on it. At least add chives, onions, peppers, and mushrooms. Or maybe some kind of meatlovers pizza? Had that a few times but the bacon always overpowers the other flavors so i'm not a huge fan. Well, unless it's a chicken florentine style pizza with bacon. But I havn't had one of those in ages.

Funnily enough I was going to get pizza today but some things came up, oh well.

i mourn that i can't find a place with a really good cheese pizza where i live

you can hide a bad cheese pizza with toppings, but without them it has to stand on its own

i like pepperoni every once and awhile, but mainly i go for ham or sausage

I won't disagree but pepperoni is the cheapest way to get some meat that has flavor on the pizza.

Chicken alone is goddamn bland. Tuna will stink up the whole pizza with fish. Ham - while OK, it usually appears in 4+ toppings combos or alongside pineapple. Sausage - the amount they put on pizza is sad. Ground beef without other toppings to break up the pool of fat it creates is gross.

If you have a better suggestion for a single meat topping for a pizza that doesn't require a bunch of other toppings to be good, I'm all ears.
