What are some Bulliet Bourbon alternatives? I know there has to be better bourbon for this price point

>> No.16798278

>>16798268
30ish a bottle:
Buffalo Trace
Old Forester
4 roses small batch
High west double rye
Larceny
Elijah craig small batch

And many more. Unless you're a poorfag, buy a couple and try them. There are many good to great bourbons in the 30 to 40 dollar range.

Probably not best to start a thread with an unanswerable question. Prices aren't stable across regions. Post price, post price of competition (ie by linking to a store).
Here nothing is going to beat Bulleit at its price, unless you're going for something specific like a whisky and coke in which case maybe a spiced rum.

This distillary in Portland, "Burnside" makes incredible shit in the 30 to 40 dollar range. Its so good. Ive tried most of all of these mentioned here in this thread and Burnside is tastier hands down.

I was recommended another local brand here named Ghost Owl I will try to taste soon.

Not all rye is on the same level. This stuff is gold, and priced about as much as its weight in gold. It is the first rye that really made me reconsider its potential.

>> No.16804328

>>16804320
Adding to this, their younger rye isn't NEARLY as good, but it's priced competitively with other ryes. The 10yo is seriously a different animal, and usually 10x the price as a result.

this is popular around here, but not necessarily based around price although everything on the chart should be under $80 USD in 2021 with a couple exceptions being the Lagavulin 16 which can go up to $130-ish(if you have access to Costco its almost half that) and the Longrow(basically anything from Campbelltown has become Kuwaiti bullion in the Gulf War tier). the chart is more of a jumping off point because once you get a dozen or so bottles under your belt you should know your preferences and then price becomes less prominent unless ur an alkie or legit poorfag, no offense.
