soft shell
>enjoyable
>cool
>keeps all contents inside
>awesome mouth-feel
>great umami

hard shell
>falls apart immediately
>forces you to finish your taco with a fork form the plate
>tastes like stale doritos
>impossible to eat without a generous sip of water after every bite

hard shell warmed in an oven >> soft shell.

Agreed. Hard just falls apart into a pile. Though >>16762114 isn’t bad if you feel like being fat. Also, flour > corn and anyone who disagrees is just coping with the fact that they grew up eating corn tortillas and feels the need to be defensive about it. Even in Mexico they only use corn in the south because maize is more abundant and cheaper than wheat.

I had one of my molars on the top right of my mouth removed when I was a teenager. Not the last molar on the right, but the one next to it. If I eat hard shelled tacos, they jab into my gum and it hurts.

Soft > Hard

Hard shell tacos shouldn't even be a thing. They are an abomination.

I bet you think that opinion means something, loser. You probably think you are having a more 'authentic experience'. Dweeb.

This is the correct answer. Fried tortilla tacos are fucking awesome, it's just the kind in OP that are gross. Fry a tortilla in a pan with very little oil, flip it, fill it with the meat and cheese, fold it while it's still flexible, then take it out and add your veggies and cold stuff.

Thanks friend, you have good taste, I assure you the cheese just all slid into the taco since I put it on the bottom to melt.

They are used for different things bro. Hand turned, fresh from the comal maize tortillas are great, but difficult to preserve for more than the two minutes it takes to eat them, so flour is probably the better option from the supermarket for you.

Hard shell inside flatbread. Gordita crunch ftw.
