Is there any truth to the conspiracy that fast food is bad for you? I think it's bullshit and it's no different from buying meat at the store.

People who skipped science class and copied homework to get by have no idea how mold forms, so they'll swear up and down McDonalds was made in a lab when in reality most of their food is designed to eject moisture in the form of steam.

Ground beef or other cuts of meat you buy can also not mold or rot if the moisture is evaporated. I've seen taco meat become as hard as a rock that my mom bought as regular ground beef from the store just because it got left out just to give an example of said experience. What McDonald's does isn't anything special or suspect, it's just that a lot of what they serve doesn't retain moisture is all and people swear up and down it's some voodoo magic at work because they watched someone on YouTube or social media and spin their own stories about it simply because they want to believe what they do.

If you want taste bad but good for you advice eat like a ripped 50 year old triathlete, they have it figured out.

Scientific theories update all the time so there's a fair chance of having to skip lessons once they're outdated in textbooks. Plus a lot of shit in grammar school, like the PIE method of presentation-information-explanation in essays does transfer to the workplace and making video presentations. I mean history is probably the only dubious subject based on things it omits but that's only as far as Americans are concerned. Compared to schools in Canada and the UK, American children got the raw deal without question.

just don't eat too much of it, the main thing is added sugars and massive amounts of carbohydrates
>giant sodas if you aren't careful to avoid them (they're basically free)
>sugar added in the buns
>sugar added to some fry formulas
Basically if you go to mcdicks, eat a quarterpounder and a medium fry but drink some fucking water instead of soda, you might be missing out on fiber and vitamins, but you're not killing yourself. BUT if you instead get the double, large fries, large coke, AND a shake/mcflurry, and you do this regularly, that's when you start getting fat.

it's all choices, anon

I think it's made up. Sometimes I go on vacation or away for work and I don't have time to cook or I don't want to. So basically I eat like a McDonald's hamburger and fries and for breakfast I'll get there egg sandwich with five eggs and bacon or sausage. I tend to feel great when I'm doing this and lose weight. Oh and then for dinner I usually end up going to a restaurant and having something like potatoes and steak and vegetables. I honestly feel better doing this then I do cooking for myself.

I would argue the main reasons people lack healthy bacteria are not the preservatives and such added to processed food, it's the fact that processed food is generally biologically similar and simple, as well as being given lots of antibiotics as children
>lots of fats, carbs, and simple sugars
>very little fiber, root vegetables, or fermented ingredients
Add to it the over prescription of antibiotics for decades and you have a recipe for gut flora being tailored to digest sugars and fats, and not much else. The biggest determinant of gut biodiversity is still genetics, but that might just be how people inherit them while in the womb/via delivery. It's an underfunded field of study and to your point, we probably will see more research come out on how our diets impact our guts.
