But seriously, I help my friend distill and a two gallon barrel is interesting whiskey, but you could just start making more interesting hot spirits to enjoy without aging. I like our cucumber liquor the most so far.

I got a 2 litre oak barrel that I've put some new make scotch spirit in. It's been in for about eight months now, not sure how long I should leave it. I did some cheap vodka in it before and it came out pretty mediocre but that's probably because of the bad starting spirit.
