Probably the same amount of calories, but no. If there's fish, sausages, steak, chicken, or any other protein source, then it's a meal. Chips alone are a side or table food for drunks to snack on while getting plastered before they go get a proper feed at the end of the night. For just chips to be a meal it's got to be a big plate.
