Your pasta looks kind of cheap. The sauce looks nicely thickened and the shrimp doesn't look overcooked. You get a shrimp/pasta.

de cecco. Have you heard of it?

>> No.16719497

De cecco is good pasta, but far from the best pasta. Not $10 dollars and not hipster.

Look up the brand seggiano. It's by far the best dry pasta I've had. Their jarred pasta sauce is also top tier.

I've tried time and time again, but i can't enjoy shrimp. How do you people enjoy shrimp? Its just a big crunchy water insec and I find that very unappetizing.

You are probably overcooking it. It doesn’t need more than a minute of heat on each side.

Cosmic brain take: Meat doesn't belong on pasta. Pasta happens before the entree thus shouldn't include any sort of meat.

plus your shrimps are overcooked man. they must be added in the end. If you like shrimps you should try zucchini and shrimps risotto or pasta.

From the pic it looks good. Sauce looks appropriately thick, noodles are nicely coated, shrimp looks properly cooked. Garlic is a bit big and looks a bit too raw, but hard to judge. You might have gone a bit hard on the chopped parsley.

Seems like a pretty good preparation of a basic pasta dish. I'd try it.

>> No.16720631

It doesn't take hours, but yea fresh pasta is a meme. There's nothing wrong with store-bought, and you'll get al dente much more easily starting with dried pasta rather than fresh egg pasta.

just a scampi right? I'd prolly eat the whole thing right out of the pan. sauce looks a little separated, might need some bread to clean it up. did you add more lemon juice at some point? smaller noodle like other anon said next time though. oh and some crispy bacon bits and black pepper... and scallops.

Mixing and kneading take 5-10 min. Rest 20 min while you prepare the rest of your ingredients. Roll through the machine, 5 mins. Pasta is ready.

It's 10-15 minutes of active work, 20 minutes wait time.

Making fresh pasta is no issue if your dish will actually benefit from it. The issue >>16723673
is you often want drier and harder water-based pasta to get that al dente texture, rather than fresh egg pasta that'll be softer and creamier.
