Do these pans on the commercial that claim it's impossible for anything to stick to them actually work or are they fake and they really grease the heck out of them before the commercial so nothing sticks?

It’s just a ceramic coating. It’s relatively non stick but it’s easily damaged by metal utensils and even harsh sponges. It’s non stick properties degrade over time. I had a set before I switched to stainless steel which I should have got to begin with but I didn’t know any better.

I used to live near an elderly (semi-Alzheimer's) guy, and he regularly purchased As Seen On TV products. He had this exact pan, and he regularly cursed the makers for being 100% full of shit and said it was the worst pan he had ever used. I never saw him use it, but it's a little misleading even if the situation is that the pan requires a certain technique to work properly.

I've had these pans and they are great for frying eggs, only used a little grease, and I think even without grease it's nonstick. They are really fragine though, left one on the too hot stove too long and it got bent out of shape.

Didn't get a new one as I wonder what kinda chemicals are in the nonstick, especially since it's Made In China. Using a Made In Korea pan I got at Gallerina now, stronger but heavy as hell.
