stir fry it with some vegetables, coconut milk, and some spices for an easy ass curry

>> No.16679152

Stir fry it, I put it in fried rice and it was very good. You definitely have to cook the sort of canned taste out of it though.

Mock Duck is based. It has a higher protein content than any other fryable protein, and the canned versions usually come with a tasty sauce already in the can. They're like $1 for an 18oz can.
Put that shit in a shit stir fry.

>> No.16679467

I was raised vegetarian and we would use that stuff in stir fry

Well I just trolled my gf who hates vegetarian food and loves duck so that's one thing you can do with it.

>> No.16679888

I actually have like five cans of this after ordering some on a whim and discovering that it isn't even appetizing on it's own, yet alone having anything but the texture of duck when stir-fried.

So long answer short you use it as an (inferior) substitute for duck in dishes which call for it but could otherwise be vegetarian.

>> No.16679907

>>16679842
It's Seitan steeped in sugar oil and soysauce. I once ate a whole can without even heating it. Tastes better than it looks.

That's what it looked like and it's probably not half bad, I used to eat cold seitan in salads all the time. That goosebump texture is still fucking vile though.

>> No.16680253

>>16679857
Lies, anyone expecting actual duck (in pieces bigger than 1mm cubes anyway) then eating this shit would be horrified.
But it's seitan and kind of good on its own merits.

Why is premade seitan not way more popular? Why doesn't it cost 25 cents for a pound? They make impossible burgers to compete with beef but I'd eat a lot of seitan if I didn't have to knead it myself to not pay an outrageous price for a wheat flour product.

>> No.16680951

>>16680925
>25 cents for a pound
That's ridiculously cheap. Even tofu is like 1-2$ a pound

>> No.16680954

take pineapple, corn starch flurry, sot sauce, sugar, SHOWSHIN wine and heat.
apply heat and reduce to sauce don't make pudding.
Apply heat and some oil to DRY mock duck stuff
alright when its "cooked" through stick it in the oven or something at like 380 for like 5 minutes. Flip over. Get that shit C R I S P Y.
Alright now serve over rice, apply sauce, fap into a cup and call it a day.

>> No.16680972

>>16680951
I was exaggerating
But in the end it's just wheat, if a business had proper economies of scale for seitan processing it should obviously be some fraction of what meat costs.

*also the "subsidized meat only costs a fraction of what is should" is 99% fake news vegan lore, if you try to find anyone giving real numbers it's always vegans trying to do dumb shit like blame all health problems on meat and then pretending that like the entire federal healthcare budget is a meat subsidy.

You seem to be the racist, as is very common with your types. I simply don't give a shit about your fucking nations and don't want to visit them.
If you want to call me racist for disagreeing with you then you must have been shillary supporters since that's the best that they can do.
Are you still seething in your closets because Trump beat your annointed one?
