That soup is all I'd order when my last ex dragged me there. She was obsessed by that soup and the chicken scampi was about the only thing I could stomach.

By the by, it's stupid easy to make. Leek (or onion), italian sausage, garlic, potatoes, kale, chicken stock, and milk or cream. Salt, pepper, chili flakes. Takes 20 minutes from prep to finish for a gallon of soup.

I don't know about you, but Olive Garden was always considered a fancy restaurant by my family growing up. We only ever ate there for a special occasion like a birthday or anniversary and everyone would get dressed up.

It wasn't until I was in my late teens when I had money to try other places that I realized how mediocre and casual the place was.

Pasta fagioli and lasagna fritta was my go to for when we were too poor to get the expensive orders. Haven't been in a decade but it was probably the best I've had there. Red lobster has the cheddar biscuits right? Fuck, those are good.
