so you are saying you cook for your family not necessarily with your family so you are mainly the one in there? or no? idk. anyway i think for a lot of people the kitchen is the part of the house that is most associated with family and togetherness. usually first thing in the morning you go down to the kitchen and you see loved ones for the first time in there. the dining room is usually right next to if not in the kitchen where you eat your dinners together and talk about your day. there is usually a bench where people can eat breakfast and snacks or sit and have a drink while others cook. when i was a kid i would sometimes do my homework at this bench while mum cooked. professional style with stainless countertops and towel dispensers and things feels weird and stiff, like being in the kitchens at a school cafeteria. like its just a place to work and then get out, like your garage or laundry room.

The cabinets are overly ornate, the backsplash is not uniformly gray for some reason, there's a fucking arch above the hood??? the backsplash over the stove is fucking whyyyyy, and the stove itself pops out and is rounded when everything else has sharp corners. Also there's wayyy too many colors shades going on. You want countertop color, wall/backsplash color, cabinet color and accent (hood, stove, fridge, grips) color. This has egshell cabinets, gray 1 countertop, gray 2 backsplash, gray 3 stove backsplash, white wall color and balck + brushed alu accent colors. So much going on when it required so little effort to actually look good.

>seperate hot and cold faucets
What do you mean by that? I'm not sure how you'd have entirely separate hot and cold faucets. Do you mean they can't have two separate knobs and they have to use those twisty single-handle deals like people tend to have in their kitchens where you spin it one direction for hot and the other for cold?

See what they like to do is divert the heat so u only get hot when u want it. That's how the whole thing comes together anyway. Hey look a lot if people are gonna tell u who to be and listen here kid u gotta stick with what ur herat is telling u cos that's the only compas u hot in thos world I tell u even ur parents kid they are flying by radar so dont let nobody say hey bud u need to d ok such and this that or the other cos man I tell ya things sure are crazy out there.

something like this would be nice needs to be a little more functional though.
since I cook with a Wok so can't really do an electric stove. maybe something like the Pitt Cima? (but its expensive). then theres getting a range that looks sleek too.

>no point along the wall line is more than 600 mm (24 in.) measured horizontally from a receptacle outlet in that space.

>they are REQUIRING outlets every 2 feet

That's actually an outlet every 4 feet.
If you have two outlets 4 feet apart, then no point along the wall line is more than 2 feet measured horizontally from an outlet.
So within two feet of the edge of the counter, then no more than 4 feet to the next, etc.
The idea is no appliance cord has to reach more than 2 feet to reach the nearest outlet.

Still, that's pretty much in line with what's seen in that photo, without knowing whether that house follows the exact same guideline. Point is, the building codes are likely to blame for the weird outlet positioning at the backsplash.

I've had tile countertop for 15 years.
Just keep it dry and you won't get mildew on the grout.
I clean with Windex and a paper towel.

Nope. That outlet could be as far as two feet right of the stove.
It's just a fuck up.
Most likely, during rough in, the electrician didn't know how wide the range backsplash would be, and/or that's where the nearest stud was.

I was an electrician for 10 years.
