It's a little unfair because society (mainly mothers, but, as recently as Gen X, fathers too) encourages narcissistic numale behavior. We have grown men telling their children "turn the other cheek and ignore it, you're better than them because you don't bully" which encourages passive aggressive, weak behavior.
