but yerba mate is easier and cheaper to make than coffee. a kilogram of the stuff costs like 5 dollars and you don't need any equipment other than the straw. you don't have to worry about brewing time or anything either, just add hot (but not boiling) water and enjoy. one cup can last you most of the day and you can just add more water to get the perfect dose of caffeine any time you want
