They're both mostly fat emulsified with water. They may taste different, but they have the same qualities and serve the same purposes. Using both is utterly pointless.

I do though.

I don't know what triggered the memory, but awhile back I was suddenly thinking about when I was a kid, and my mom would make me pbj's for my school lunch. And I remember them being super good, of course, but also biting into them and you'd see that little white layer of butter, and that really struck me.

Anyway, I put butter on all my sandwiches now. It makes a world of difference.

Amerifat here, seems like very few people here believe that butter doesn't have to live in the fridge. Spreading cold butter on soft bread (even toasted) is a complete bastard, so most don't do it. I leave my butter out (in a butter dish with a lid of course), and always butter my bread.

First thing to know is that outside of the Internet people don't actually identify themselves as fellow Europeans alongside other Europeans. It's far down on the list of things that anyone would refer to themselves as.

LOL even here in America, even the people who wear USA shirts and fly American flags on their trucks don't go around introducing themselves as Americans to other Americans. I wonder why that is?

Yes, they do. No-one is patriotic about Europe or the EU in the way that a gun-waving hillbilly is about USA. No-one's going to be chanting EU! EU! EU! any time soon about some patriotic universal European event (hard to imagine what that event would even be). You do have people who call themselves REAL AMURICANS and shit like that. I've never seen someone wear a shirt with the EU flag in it, lol.
And obviously I wasn't talking about how people literally introduce themselves to others, but how they think about themselves compared to this group that they belong to. USA is a much more unified entity, obviously. Culturally and in any other way that you can think of.

That just proves my point, you retard. Those people identify as citizens of their countries, not as "Europeans". Being a European is down in the list of things that they think they are.
