What is your favorite beginner friendly recipe? it can be a dish, a sauce, a dessert, anything.

Mine is a very simple garlic mayo, done with 2 eggs, 250 ml oil, 3 garlic cloves, parsley, lemon and salt to taste. You just toss everything into the blender and it's done in a couple of minutes. Perfect to do at someone's house to use along some appetizers.

Pork chops with a white wine and mushroom sauce

>pan fry a pork chop until it’s done to your liking
>in a pot, fry onions and mushrooms in olive oil and butter
>add in some heavy cream
>stir until it’s bubbling
>add in a liberal amount of white wine (I prefer white wines on the drier or acidic side for this desu)
>stir it up
>add small amounts (like 1/3 tablespoon) of flour until it’s thick to your liking (if it’s too thick, just add chicken stock)
By this time the pork should be cooked, let it rest for a 2-3 minutes
>add in minced garlic to the sauce

>cut your chop into thin slices and pour your sauce on top

If you can't make this as one of your first recipes you might just want to give up and have chicken tendies and mcdonalds for the rest of your life.

Just made a gorgonzola sauce for the first time that was fucking God-tier on my steak and taters.

Just boil some heavy whipping cream for like 10 minutes and add the cheese at the end. You'll know the cream is dine because it will thicken just slightly, then add the 'zola as you take it off the heat.
Throw some garlic and/or shallots or chives in there at the start if that's your thing.

I also use vinegar and baking soda on the potatoes, but you gotta pay attention when you add that soda, lol.

Chicken and rice is the best beginner meal because it quite literally does not get easier and spanish rice is deceptively good tasting.

Croque monsieur is pretty easy. Just do the least amount of time on a recipe to avoid nuking the bread
