I haven't been able to cook much for several months due to traveling for work and now I'm renovating my kitchen.

Post whatever you got. Here's some pad thai from a while ago when I was in my old place.

Favorite Recent Sandwich
>good french bread
>skirt steak sliced thin med rare
>mushrooms and onions sauteed with a pan sauce
>brie cheese
>mustard and apple cider vinegar braised kale
>broiled
>after add sliced cherry tomatoes
>little bit of balsamic dressing over the top

It sounds like a lot of stuff, but it goes together really well. Bitterness and acid from the kale, vinegar, and tomatoes cut through the brie and steak savoryness. It was cash.

Alright
>In college dorm kitchen
>Frying up some chicken breast to eat with rice
>Like Tabasco, figure I can just dump it in the pan for taste
>It vaporizes, get hotboxed with mild pepper spray
I still ate the chicken and it did taste OK, also found that it goes surprisingly well in a toasted PB&J sandwich too

Lol reminds me of the first time I made salsa with chile de arbol.

>blistering chile de arbol in a skillet
>starting to smoke and irritate my eyes
>add water to the pan to cool it down and introduce some moisture to the dried chiles
>effectively pepper spray myself and roommates hanging out in the kitchen.

salsa was pretty dope tho.

>watching chefs table and mind of a chef a lot when they first came out
>think I can out retard all these great chefs and do something creative
>try to use papaya seeds as a sub for black pepper and make a habanero papaya reduction
>everything seems to be working out
>the sauce looks good
>Ripe papaya tastes like absolute ass apparently
>fake that I think the sauce is great and have my friend try it
>he tries it and almost throws up

At least the risotto was pretty good.
