Is it worth making your own tortillas?

Yep. It's as hard as learning to bake properly though. Make sure and use real lard and not some Crisco bullshit.

Depends. Where I live there are a ton of beaners so I can get good tortillas from a multitude of places so it's not generally worth it.
If you live in flyoverville it's probably better to make your own

It is if you like corn tortillas.
Hand-made flour tortillas can be much better depending on the recipe.

Might depend on where you live. I used to do it but now I just buy them from my local grocery store because they have Mexican grandmas making them and they're cheap and hot. The tortillas are good too.

it is worth it. but i say that with two limitations. first, your corn flour has to be quality. try alma semillera; you can skip maseca brand. secondly, make sure you use the heavy cast iron presses like victoria brand's. the aluminum generics are very flimsy and they end up making the tortillas thicker on one end.

nah. i just let the local mexican shops make them for me. they make them daily so its good.
