My hometown used to have a football (soccer) tournament every Summer where the different streets made up different teams, some of the smaller streets being put together obviously.
Lasted for I guess the last half of the week and ended with a big party on the weekend where we had whole roasted pig like that. Some of the best pork I ever had.
I wish it hadn't ended but people just kinda stopped being social with one another. Happened long before the Rona if you're wondering.

I turned 28 in Pattaya, Thailand and threw a birthday party at one of the beer bars. Cost me 5000 baht and included a 20 kg roast pig like OP (maybe not as big) plus Thai food buffet plus a birthday cake plus a bottle of fake tequila plus a bar fine. Not bad for 170 bucks, plus most of the punters walking by for free food would usually buy me a drink.

I'm turning 30 next year and I'll definitely get a milk fed suckling pig for the celebration. I've had roast boar before, but I dream to roast an entire iberico one day.
