part of why the travis scott meal worked so well was because it was $6, which is actually significantly cheaper than the normal price of a quarter pounder combo meal, so loads of people who couldn't give less of a fuck about rapper collabs went and bought it

mcdonald's isn't just buying their shit from the local wal-mart, they're financing a massive distribution chain, alonside prime retail locations and easily $50 to $100 per hour worth of wages, dependant on location and peak hours. fast food profits are a game of quantity over quality, that leverages large amounts of loans and debt to generate long-term income.
