As someone who was a picky eater, fuck this method. Be a parent in control and force your kid to eat it, even if they're crying at the table. That's what all my friends had done to them, and they grew up eating everything and ended up taller and healthier. My parents let me be effectively malnourished and I ended up short as fuck.

No offense, but he was an extreme eater, had his child very late in life, and was a busy celebrity at the time. I'm not going to think he knows anything about child rearing other than his fear it would end up picky or even vegetarian, both of whom he did not revere.

I miss him, but anyone that voluntarily checks out while having a child is not going to be an authority on parenting. My lack of pickiness comes from parents that just traveled and exposed up their joys of doing new experiences. Helps that there is no mental health issues in my own family.
