Actually not bad at all. Pleasantly surprised. I'm surprised it's so sweet, much sweeter than bread I made using only flour and water. Must be the butter I guess. I will try to buy some pork and fry the pork in the pan before adding the batter, that's a Swedish "kolbulle", pic related. You don't need butter for that, I guess there's lard in the pork.

I put almost all my utensils down in the basement storage room a long time ago because they were dirty and I had a date. So I put it in a plastic bag and then down there. I've been depressed so I haven't had the energy to bring it back up.

Next time change up the steps. Mix the flownr and butter together. Add more salt. Then mix in the water. Mix it a few more times to make some gluten. Then whalla tortillas. I make them for breakfast with a fried egg, garden lettuce, and last years hotsauce.

>> No.16406225

at least add some salt or it wont fcking taste like anything

>> No.16406268

I made another one today, but with more baking powder and no butter. It's not sweet at all. I guess the butter makes it sweet. Weird because I looked at the ingredients and there are barely any sugars in butter. Also it's better with no baking powder or just a little baking powder, today was too much.

I made that today, minus lingonberries. Was gross. I don't know why my first flatbread was so tasty when the third and fourth were gross. I'm guessing either it's the butter that makes all the difference, probably shouldn't have too much baking powder too, and not make it too thick.

One time i let my sink get so piled up with dirty dishes from over a month of cooking that it smelled and had mold growing all over everything. I took all the dishes into a big tub, and threw it in the back of my car, and when I was alone closing up the restaurant I worked at i went out and got it and ran it all through the dishwasher at work. Never got caught and saved me hours of clean up. The sight of the slimy bottom of my sink was nightmare inducing, though.

>water
>1 egg
>raisins
>mozzarella
>butter in the pan

More like a traditional pancake I guess, I made it thick though. Was decent, better than the one with pork and baking soda yesterday.

Some sort of crepe? If you're going for flour tortillas (or parathas, or similar unleavened wheat flour flatbread), it's usually a fairly dry dough, roughly 4:1 flour to water by volume (9:4 by weight) with a good amount of oil or melted butter (about 1/4 of the amount of water - it's fairly close by weight and volume), rested, and pressed or rolled into shape.

If you're going for savoury crepes, a bit of salt or seasoning can go a long way.

there is no baking powder in kolbullar
for the real flavor you should cook it on a camp fire or charcoal grill
they should be medium thick, thicker than a crepe but thinner than american pancake
