>79% of all the restaurants Ramsay visited in Kitchen Nightmares shut down after he left

>> No.16385074

Don't most restaurants fail within a year anyway? That might not be much worse than average.

>> No.16385083

The ending to almost every episode is the kids running amok again now that their babysitter is gone.

>> No.16385086

It's a tv show. It wasn't supposed to actually fix anything. Fixing needs more time. And maybe the location is just shit. It was all a drama show.

>People who are irresponsible enough to turn their restaurants to shit still fail after being given free shit.
Completely unsurprising. I am surprised that 21% actually made it.

>> No.16385325

>>16385000
Anon, most restaurants shut down after a few years of operation. The food industry is hell and very few restaurants ever succeed.

>> No.16385351

95% of the owners on the show are arrogant clueless retards so 79% is a hell of a gain

>> No.16385945

>restaurants filled with mental health issues
>their freezers filled with rotting or contaminated food
>someone manages to save a fifth of them in only a few weeks

Idk

>> No.16385972

How long after filming do the episodes air? They're meant to stay in business long enough for the feaux-advertising to take effect?

>> No.16386000

9 out of 10 restaurant fail
now with that mind, that percent is probably a lot worse for the type of restaurants that are so incompetent that they need to be showcased on kitchen nightmares

>> No.16386533

>>16385000
Have you seen the show? 100% of those restaurants would close due to horrible business practices, or as soon as the next time a health inspector visits.

Why did they have to close, they were doing fine for years after the show

>> No.16386656

I sure as hell wouldn't eat at a restaurant that Ramsay visited for this show. Even if the goal is to get the places into working shape, the place was probably already mediocre and old habits die hard. It's not like Guy's Triple D where he visits places that have usually been standing in business for a while.

Yup, it's really not shocking OP.

>> No.16386687

100% of them were on the verge on falling when he showed up so that's actually pretty good

Look up how restaurants do after the Mayor of Flavortown visits

You guys believe American wrestling is an actual sport or something.

>> No.16386748

Liquor Lisa was hot but that joker performance from that Sara that episode can't have been staged.
This shit is edited to hell and back, with using shots from other scenes to make it seem like they're laughing when being yelled at or insulted etc.

Btw I recommend the seafood special

Well yeah, they tend to be in shape for a reason

>> No.16387106

They're professional showmen or stuntmen for sure.

But they don't practice an actual, competitive sport.

As in: the entire confrontation is scripted in much the same way as Masterchef, Kitchen Nightmares is scripted.

That doesn't mean these people don't have to train. Lots.

It does mean they have zero chance against an experienced line cook or ordinary street fighter.

entirely the owners fault. if the downs syndrome brothers can make it after he helps them, anyone can

Post the story about the chick in France with the vegetarian restaurant who became a prostitute after Ramsey visited.

Starting a restaurant is unironically one of the dumbest things you can do. Nice trips.
